PB - (488 pages in Hard Cover) This is a tale in the vein as the Da Vinci Code. A group of men dressed show up at a midnight mass at a large cathedral in Cologne Germany, they shoot the priests officiating and steal the reliquary bones form the alter and using an unknown means kill all but one of the congregation who is able to give a few clues to the police. A priest from the Vatican and a member of the Italian antiquities police travel to Germany where they join up with special force of agent/academics from a Government agency.
What follows is a search following arcane clues as they race a secret society to the final treasure. The search has them bouncing around Europe and Egypt in following clues in ancient documents and biblical texts.
Lots of action between 4 separate factions in search of the treasure keeps the story moving. Not bad if you like this kind of book.
