2009 # 19 John Grisham - The Associate

2009 # 19

John Grisham - The Associate - Finished - 2/4/2009

New from Grisham The Associate follows an up and coming about to graduate law student as events at an under grad party of fraternity brothers and co-eds results in a unsubstantiated rape charge. Our lawyer was present but not a participant and a video in the hands of a blackmailer causes him to change his plans of career and join a huge NY law firm for the purpose of steeling data on a huge case involving top secret defense data. The description of the life of a new associate in a huge law firm and the culture of the practices described (while they may or may not be accurate) in the current climate of big firms these days do not seem that far from the truth and leaves one wondering about what has happened to the morality of big business these days. Any it was a good read of a don't want to stop kind.
